Who else loves new beginnings? I surely do! My theme for the month of January is growth and so I chose to use a lot of wild flowers. I was greatly inspired by Nu.Journal on Instagram. I love her feed and work that seems to be carefree, impulsive but still very pleasing to the eye. I think there is a lot I can learn from her. Watercolor used to frighten me because it is hard to control, but I am trying to overcome my fears this year and so I used it anyway. I must say that I am happy how it turned out. I also used a lot of color and not just one color scheme. It is a miracle, haha.
I always start with a monthly spread.
On the next page is my mood and habit tracker. I love to keep them together so I can see which habits have effect on my mood.
This is one of my favorite spreads from this month. I saw this quote ‘BLOOM BABY, BLOOM’ on Pinterest and I loved it. First, I sketched the words and flowers and then I colored it with paint.
On this page I keep my track of my ideas and followers.
My first weekly spread.
For my second weekly spread I added a ‘to do list’.
For this weekly I was a little uninspired so it is a bit all over the place, haha.
Luckily, I was very inspired for my last spread! I love how this one turned out. Again, I saw this quote on Pinterest when I searched for quote and flower. ‘She was no fragile like a flower, she was fragile like a bomb.’
What is your theme for January? I would love to see your creations!
